Masterpiece

Stir of Echoes is one of, if not the, best supernatural/thriller/suspense films ever made. The characters are down to earth and believable, the supernatural elements are rendered believably, and the production values are high. It is set to connect to those experiences regular people have that leave them wondering, and use that relation to take the viewer for the ride. From the first scene, the viewer is pulled in and held fast, without spurious overtures of blood / gore / special effects beyond what is necessary. Like many deeply good stories, there are layered metaphors in the metaphysical material that could describe the experience of more mundane, yet deeply affecting real world situations. If you want something substantial, something with some real kick, this is for you.

Great Movie!

This movie is seriously underrated. It follows the basic premise of the Sixth Sense, without the "I see dead people" line. Kevin Bacon stars as the down-on-his-luck Average Joe who is hypnotized by the wonderfully funny Illeana Douglas. Kathryn Erbe shines as his frustrated wife, who's kept in the dark about this secret of his. And, who couldn't offer praises the relatively unknown Zachary David Cope who rules as the movie's child star? He can see the dead people too. Fans of the popular Fox TV show might recognize the movie's victim, played by a young Jennifer Morrison. This movie is an exciting thriller, with both chills and a few witty lines delivered. I reccomend it to those seeking a well-written, well-acted, horror film!

Great film.

This movie portrays what it's really like to be haunted. Very compelling and gripping story. Excellent movie for those who want to see something creepy yet interesting.
