Plot Summary
Justice is served up family-style as Sylvester Stallone and Estelle Getty star in this mother of all action comedies. When top L.A. detective Joe Bomowski (Stallone) gets a rare visit from his feisty mom, Tutti (Getty), his life is turned upside-down. In no time, she is rearranging Joe's bachelor pad and meddling in his affairs, much to his embarrassment and the delight of his girlfriend, Gwen (JoBeth Williams). To add to Joe's problems, Tutti witnesses a murder and becomes the unlikely partner when she refuses to divulge information unless she's allowed in on the investigation. Just when Joe is ready to kill himself, Tutti helps bring down the bad guys, proving Mother-knows-best in this outrageous action-adventure comedy.

Rotten: This mom is impossible without being funny.
Rotten: As irksome as it is, the concept is actually better for Stallone than the premises of his earlier awful romps.
Rotten: It is moronic beyond comprehension, an exercise in desperation during which even Sylvester Stallone, a repository of self-confidence, seems to be disheartened.
Rotten: Most of the blame for this unimaginative effort can be attributed to the script, but Spottiswoode's flat direction doesn't help.

i remember watching this movie when i was like 4 years old! i love estelle getty! this movie made me laugh so hard, good memories! this is a must see good ol' comedy!
WORST STALLONE FILM EVER.
Nuff said. This is a big mistake.
Great and hilirous movie
my mother made me and my brothers watch this movie and we were laughing all the way through! i have no idea why people think this is a bad movie, its a great movie to show with the family. the only thing i dont like about it was the language but that was slight so thats all good. LOL. i hope u at least rent this movie to find that its a great movie, later!
