Customer Reviews

Rent - Don't Buy This One

Acting was pretty bad, plot was a little worse, and what was with all the flash backs? What we hoped was going to be a good WWII movie turned out to be a pretty bad movie all the way around. HOWEVER, if you and a few buddies are looking for a movie to turn into your own version of Mystery Science Theatre, I give you Straight Into Darkness.

DO NOT RENT

This movie is eerie, and disgusting, not to mention the acting is bad, and the plot doesn't make sense.

Solid, interesting, and haunting.

This film is for the most part about two American soliders in WWII trying to escape the fighting. The dynamic between the two of them is very interesting, their backstories reveal slowly and fully. The film is beautifully shot with lots of incredible romanian ruins and there is something haunting and beautiful about the imagery no matter how disturbing in nature it gets. This is not your standard war film, but haven't you seen enough standard war films? This film strives to truly tell you a story of the hell of war and how life continues and moves forward. I can't suggest it enough.
