Plot Summary
Superstar Demi Moore ("Charlie's Angels: Full Throttle," "G.I. Jane") is a kind-hearted stripper who gets tangled in a murderous web after she fends off a lecherous congressman whose handlers fear a possible extortion attempt, when all she really wants is to get custody of her daughter back from her ex-husband. Co-starring Oscar-nominee, Golden Globe and Emmy-winner Burt Reynolds ("Driven," "Boogie Nights"), Armand Assante ("Hoffa," "The Road to El Dorado") and Golden Globe-winner Ving Rhames (the "Mission: Impossible" movies, "Pulp Fiction"). Based on the best-selling novel by Carl Hiaasen.

Rotten: The film, edited very abruptly in some spots, remains amiable without easily finding a consistent tone for all this.
Rotten: Writer-director Andrew Bergman presents [Moore] as a rather abstract object of desire. He wants us to know that his mind, at least, is not in the gutter--can't afford to waste time there, given the amount of busy work he has to.
