Plot Summary

Two years have passed since last we visited the Little family, and plucky, pint-sized hero Stuart Little (voice of Michael J. Fox) has settled nicely into his new life. Then a mysterious bird literally drops out of the sky, introduces herself as Margalo (voice of Melanie Griffith), and relates that she is being terrorized by Falcon (voice of James Woods). She moves in with the Littles, much to the chagrin of Snowbell (voice of Nathan Lane), the family's feline curmudgeon. But Margalo is hiding a dark secret, and when she mysteriously vanishes, the unlikely duo of Stuart and Snowbell set out on a heart-pounding, hair-raising journey to find her and unlock the mystery. They have no idea where they're headed, all Stuart knows is he has to find Falcon's lair and get Margalo back.

Top Critics' Reviews

Fresh: When Stuart tells Margolo that her wing is as good as new, she demurs, then appears to allude to the relative merits of SL2 and its cloying predecessor: 'It's much, much better.' – Ed Park, Village Voice, Jun 24, 2010

Fresh: [Stuart is] like every beloved pet we ever wished we could talk to. – Mick LaSalle, San Francisco Chronicle, Aug 3, 2002

Rotten: As immaculate as Stuart Little 2 is, it could be a lot better if it were, well, more adventurous. – Gene Seymour, Newsday, Jun 24, 2010

Fresh: This is all the stuff that was so watchable the first time. Done over. But at least it's nonlethal entertainment. – Desson Thomson, Washington Post, Jun 24, 2010
