Plot Summary
Juliane's happiness seems perfect. She is head over heels in love and has just begun a new life with August. One morning, however, she wakes up to find that she has been mysteriously thrown back into her past - to the time before she met her new love. Is what seems at first glance as a cruel setback actually a second chance...? Hendrik Handloegten directed the award-winning films PAUL IS DEAD (2000), LEARNING TO LIE (2003) and co-wrote the script to GOOD-BYE LENIN (2003).

Cosmic Collision of the Heart and Mind
4.5 stars. Very intellectual emotion, very normal mental aberration, played perfectly by the director and the script, deft touch with the effects and superb editing, shot for shot. Filmic dance as it blends two cultures, Finn and German, two hearts, two friends, relationships, seasons, memories, destinies, adults and children, parenthood and childhood.
Sophisiticated, scientific, and romantic exploration of human connection to time and the seasons of the planet as metaphor for the seasons of life.
Though the crux of the story is death, the destiny of the story is the open moment, that summer window, when life and love can pour through like cosmic beam from the deep part of space.
Invest the time to enjoy this journey. It makes for a great summer love.
