Top Critics' Reviews
Rotten: Bruce Willis has little to do but hit his predictable marks and mouth the generic dialogue.
Rotten: While the notion holds promise, the execution is strictly campy and adrenaline-driven.
Rotten: Give credit to filmmaker Jonathan Mostow for keeping the movie on track; give credit to star Bruce Willis for keeping a straight face.
Fresh: Surrogates nudges the robo-thriller in an interesting direction.
Customer Reviews
I know it looks good but please don't see it.
Everything looked good but when i saw this film,
everything changed. I ussually like movies but this was just freakin'
terrible. Say (yes) if you agree this movie was a waste of your life.
Not bad, just not worth the fifteen bucks
Surrogates was an okay film for me. It had an intriguing story and was inclusive to some twists here and there. But seriously, this film is not worth seeing for more than five bucks. It's not terrible by any means, but it just isn't well-made. The performances were cringe-worthy, the film was pretty slow at times, and the movie tried to be too much of everything. Surrogates is intriguing, but never involving. It's a nice experience, but nothing that pulls you in. If you want a good robots vs. humans movie see I, Robot. It's just a shame the trailers looked so amazing, but the film didn't deliver. I might sound like I didn't like the movie, but it was just okay. I didn't hate it, but wasn't too enthusiastic about it either. Just a little advice. Try a rental on this one first before buying. It's good for a Saturday night with nothing to do, but not something I'd watch over and over again. 3 out of 5 stars.
Not bad
I found this movie very interesting as it explores this generations use of internet and things like it. There is good action, and its pretty thrilling.
