Plot Summary

From the haunting tales of Edgar Allan Poe, comes a chilling trilogy of terror. In "Morella," Locke (Vincent Price) blames the death of his wife on their only child and sends her away. When she returns 26 years later, her mother's spirit inhabits her body and haunts the tortured man. In "The Black Cat," Fortunato (Price) takes a drunken Montresor (Peter Lorre) home and falls in love with Montresor's wife... so the jealous Montresor takes revenge and buries them both alive. "In the Case of M. Valdemar," Valdemar (Price) seeks relief from M. Carmichael (Basil Rathbone), an evil mesmerist. Carmichael has designs on Valdemar's wife and holds him in a tortured state between life and death...until death itself intervenes.

Customer Reviews

A Classic MUST SEE!!

I do not understand why people review ANYTHING they have never seen! These stories, originally from Edgar Allen Poe, come to us visually through the great acting of Vincent Price and many others. You may recognize some of the actors from movies like the 10 commandments and the Maltese Falcon. I am in my 20s and I adore horror- this is not so much our generation of horror as classic horror. I watched these stories on AMC as a child and I am so happy to find them on here! iTunes has really stepped up their game! Thank you for bringing classics like this to a whole new generation of people! I cannot wait to click to buy!
