Top Critics' Reviews

Rotten: To describe the film as inept would be to miss the point, which is to present Mrs. Derek in as many different poses, nude and seminude, as there are days of the year, all in something less than two hours. – Vincent Canby, New York Times, Jun 24, 2010

Rotten: This opus will disappoint both Tarzan fans and Bo admirers. – Variety Staff, Variety, Jul 7, 2010

Rotten: Of course it's completely ridiculous, but at the same time it has a certain disarming charm. – Roger Ebert, Chicago Sun-Times, Jul 7, 2010

Rotten: Judging by the amount of time everybody spends swimming, the African jungle resembles Hornsey Baths filled with oversized pot plants. – Time Out, Aug 4, 2009

Nothin but download error

Stupid movie nice nudity

Not for everyone

As a "real" movie this Tarzan is pretty terrible. As an exploitation "B" flick it delivers what you expect. Campy atmosphere, occasional passable action pieces and violence, earnest performances from some of the actors, beautiful location shooting and of course the stunning Bo Derek at the height of her sex appeal and often undressed. Fans of exploitation and Bo Derek will find merit here, but everyone else would be very wise to spend your hard earned dollars elsewhere.
