Top Critics' Reviews

Rotten: Neither as fun nor as faithful to the spirit of the original comics. It's a bigger, slicker movie, but not a better one. – Steven Rea, Entertainment Weekly, Jul 16, 2010

Rotten: Next time, if the Turtles really want to hurt 'em, they should call on Hammer. – Peter Travers, Rolling Stone, Apr 26, 2007

Rotten: More dialogue-heavy and somewhat less frenetic, this sequel is somewhat more to my own taste. – Michael Wilmington, Los Angeles Times, Aug 6, 2014

Rotten: The artful grunge is gone -- and so's the edge. The whole movie is bright yet colorless – Michael Sragow, New Yorker, Aug 6, 2014

The Turtles Keep it Real

The TMNT star in the greatest movie of the 1990's, maybe even HISTORY! Our "Heroes in a Half Shell" must battle the Foot, and that dastardly devil Shredder to save New York. This movie shows that on rare occasions a sequel can be as good or better than the original! The Turtles look awesome and Keno definitely adds to the excitement of the movie! You have to give props to any pizza delivery guy that knows martial arts and can kick it with the Turtles. Come on and buy this movie... You know you want too! $9.99 is a steal... so while the movie is downloading, go order a pizza, kick up your feet and enjoy our four green heroes in the GREATEST MOVIE OF ALL TIME!!!!!

Ninja Pizza! Pizza that vanish quickly without trace!

The sequel to the first live action TMNT film, and just as good too. We learn more of the origins of the turtles as well as meet a few new characters who help the turtles out. So, order a pizza and start downloading because this movie is turtle-riffic!

Entertaining but not as good as TMNT1

After the big uproar over the supposed violence in TMNT1, the movie makers "dumbed" down TMNT2, making the turtles more funny, less weapons and less fights. Costumes were redesgined and look different, but work just as well. Raph's voice/actor replaced unfortunantely, his personality lost. He angers for no real reason. This is Donnie's movie, he gets to be a geek, which worked. His original voice talent also replaced due to Cory Feldman's issues back then. The story would have been a lot more enjoyable without the horrible "Ninja Rap" and Vanilla Ice, that sequence ruined the movie for this viewer. ToKkA & Rahzar are adorable. It got a little too much like the cartoon with "super shredder" and the more laughs than drama that the first movie had. If you are looking for a lighter TMNT, this is your movie. (Don't bother with TMNT3)
