Top Critics' Reviews
Rotten: A movie undone by its formulaic plot conventions, and its need to give its star more screen time than his characters merits.
Rotten: Crowe's lumbering presence is a relief from all the gothic heaviness, but director John Polson's elliptical storytelling style quickly becomes an irritant.
Rotten: Crowe, who spends the movie trudging along ... and waxing lyrical about pain and pleasure, must be hoping no one sees this mawkish blunder. He will probably get his wish.
Fresh: Polson maintains an unsettling tension throughout the narrative, building his slow-burn thriller to a climax that deliberately runs counter to the in-your-face genre principles of which he proved such a master with his first two thriller outings.

interesting
I wouldnt call this a drama. Its more like a psychological thriller. There may not be much dialogue at times but the movie moves at a good pace. The characters were well casted. Its actually very sad, Lori's life. All the characters lives are tragic, I guess thats why they catagorized it as a drama. It wasnt action packed to be a thriller, but the suspense made it more than a drama, I say psychological thriller.... just trying to help other know what they are getting into when watching this movie. Rent it thought, it was good.
Wow, very surprised.
Some trailers give you the idea there will be a lot of action in a movie even though it is a drama or thriller. Then you watch and there is no action or hardly any as is the case here. But then you find yourself glued to the screen because the writing and acting and directing are all going great as is the case here again. This is just one of those simple movies that was well made.
Great story
I love how this movie played out in the end. In the begining I was some what lost with the police officers character but I finally got it. Eric finally changes but for nothing
