Plot Summary

Arnold Schwarzenegger returns as the Terminator in this explosive action-adventure spectacle. Now he's one of the good guys, sent back in time to protect John Connor, the boy destined to lead the freedom fighters of the future. Linda Hamilton reprises her role as Sarah Connor, John's mother, a quintessential survivor who has been institutionalized for her warning of the nuclear holocaust she knows is inevitable. Together, the threesome must find a way to stop the ultimate enemy-the T-1000, the most lethal Terminator ever created. Co-written, produced and directed by James Cameron (The Terminator, Aliens, Titanic), this visual tour de force is also a touching human story of survival.

Top Critics' Reviews

Fresh: Mr. Cameron has made a swift, exciting special-effects epic that thoroughly justifies its vast expense and greatly improves upon the first film's potent but rudimentary visual style. – Janet Maslin, New York Times, Aug 12, 2014

Fresh: Terminator 2 is a state-of-the-art action movie, all right: It gets you thinking that the most reasonable thing might just have been to blow everyone away. – Owen Gleiberman, Entertainment Weekly, Mar 29, 2011

Fresh: It's Cameron's show; he's the reigning king of movie pow, with dark wit and a poet's eye for mayhem. T2 cost a reported $100 million, and you can actually see where the money went. – Peter Travers, Rolling Stone, Aug 12, 2014

Fresh: Arnold Schwarzenegger is more comfortable and assured here than the first time around, reprising a role so perfectly suited to the voice and physique that have established him as a larger-than-life film persona. – Variety Staff, Variety, Jul 7, 2010

FINALLY!!!

It's about time we started getting some good Sci-Fi/Action movies around here. And what a way to start! If we keep getting movies like this on iTunes, I might just have to stop pirating the movies into my iPod. Definitely worth the ten measely dollars to have this great fllick in your pocket! Let's see if we can't get The Matrix next, shall we?

The best sequel ever!

This movie is the best sequel ever and I think many would agree. Suspense, awesome chasing on the freeways, special effects (still impressive though done 10 years ago, 2007 now), great lead, supporting actors, music and excellent story line. A movie with an unexpected twist if you watched T1 that is almost non stop action that keeps you involved so much that time just flies as you watch it. If you haven't watched this movie yet, go terminate yourself!

T2: Why movies were invented

This sequel by James Cameron is the ultimate experience in entertainment. It literally has something for everyone and doesn't let up until the very end. Released in 1991 it featured groundbreaking computer effects that up until that time had not been used in such an elaborate way. The movie is so good that you don't even need to see the first one to understand the plotline. The acting is top-notch even for Arnie and first time actor Edward Furlong. Robert Patrick portrays one of the most sinister villians ever commited to celluloid, and Linda Hamilton's performance is Oscar-worthy. In T2 James Cameron once again shows off his perfectionism, and it is no suprise that this film still stands the test of time in every concieveable respect.
