Top Critics' Reviews
Fresh: Its charms feel somewhat calculated, but this reflective tale of outsider solitude has enough humor and poignancy to win admirers.
Fresh: Wysocki is a genuine talent, as is Jacobs, but the subject of "Terri" remains a pleasant blur.
Fresh: "Terri" turns out to be a small masterpiece of misdirection, a winsome, utterly unpredictable portrait of adolescence that flawlessly captures its cruelty and sweetness.
Fresh: Movies about high school misfits are common; this is an uncommon one.

Wonderful Movie
Watch it; it's one of those gems that slips under the radar that you want to tell everyone about.
Terri: A fantastic movie about adolescence
Terri is a fantastic movie. Not only because of the performances, but because of the heartfelt and incredibly touching story. Jacob Wysocki is amazing as Terri, a socially inept, overweight high schooler. Once the vice principal, John C. Reilly, takes an interest in Terri, they start meet every week to talk about what's going on their respective lives. This movie also has a great sense of humor. It's a very realistic, ironic type of humor, that most people should enjoy. Although a note to John C. Reilly fans, he is not in this movie a lot. He has maybe 20-30 minutes of screen time. The rest of the movie focuses on Heather, Terri's love interest, his dysfunctional friend Chad, and his delusional uncle. Terri comes to a brilliant climax that's heart wrenching and very real. So, my recommendation is to go see Terri immediately. You'll definitely be happy you saw this and not Bucky Larson: Born to Be a Star.
