Plot Summary

The tents draw people in, from fashion editors, to buyers to celebrities -- this pop cultural phenomenon generates global fashion trends and often becomes the proving ground for legendary designers.

If you are curious about how Fashion Week really works, this film spells it all out. It covers the origins of fashion week. It covers the nuts and bolts of fashion show production. And it gives you a good idea of how the business side functions. It's flash and glam, but educational.
And it manages to be funny at the same time.

This film gives you all the insider info on Fashion Week in New York. I feel like before watching this, I didn't really know how the whole thing happened...the city just seems to go crazy for 10 days and everyone roaming the streets looked extra fabulous. The designers are out working so hard to get their collections up, but it's the celebrities of backstage that make their whole fashion week experience come alive. They are the purveyors of style, the editors, the organizers and the visionaries that helped make fashion shows the media frenzy they are today. After watching this, I went from not knowing a whole lot about the fashion industry, to recognizing all the major players at FW.
Must see for the fashion industry or anyone with an interest in fashion week!
AMAZING... BRYANT PARK WILL NEVER BE FORGOTTEN!
Amazing movie to watch. As a person who works in this fun, crazy, loving industry, it is amazing to hear and see how it all started. It personally made me appreciate the fun times I had running around the tents. The tents @ Bryant Park were the best thing that ever happened. Like they all say Fashion is always changing and Evolving and the show must go on. Cheers to the good times we all had during NEW YORK's FASHION WEEK @ THE TENTS IN BRYANT PARK :)
