Customer Reviews
The original journey into the far future!
Although Rod Taylor dominates the story with his character's presence as H.G. Wells' 'Time Traveler', and aside from the very lovely (and young) Yvette Mimieux as the naive girl from the year of 802,701 A.D., one can honestly concede that the main star of this classic film is the beautiful Victorian-era Time Machine, itself! One of the most famous sci-fi vehicles ever conceived, it still impresses viewers close to fifty years after the film's initial release ( the movie celebrates its fiftieth year in 2010 )! With a cult following, the George Pal production of "The Time Machine" definitely reaffirms its charm and magic for a new generation of filmgoers! The story of cherished friendship and the vision of mankind's future are the elements that mark this gem as a 'timeless' treasure of entertainment!
A great movie
This is a ausome movie and even the younger generation may enjoy this movie too
"Let's do the time warp again!"
Sorry for the Rocky Horror Picture Show joke. Anyway, this is a great 1950's sci-fi film. It's got a real good story, real good effects for the time, and it's just fun. If you want a fun movie to watch from the 1950's....what are you waiting for? Go get it!
