Rotten: In a year of craptaculars, The Tourist deserves burial at the bottom of the 2010 dung heap. – Peter Travers, Rolling Stone, Dec 10, 2010

Rotten: Unfortunately, this is one of those movies with a twist ending that turns a character inside out, revealing earlier scenes to be essentially fraudulent and more or less invalidating one's emotional investment in the story. – J. R. Jones, Chicago Reader, Dec 10, 2010

Rotten: Jolie! Depp! Romantic locations! Intrigue! Some movies sound too good to be true. The Tourist is one of them. – Tom Long, Detroit News, Dec 10, 2010

Rotten: Star power can cover up a multitude of shortcomings in a film. Turns out stupidity isn't one of them. – Bill Goodykoontz, Arizona Republic, Dec 10, 2010

UH!

This is a good movie. The level of how good it is builds up, progresses throughout the movie.
I don't know what the deal is with critics, it seems that some of them may have had dreams to be in the movie business and ended up stuck watching them for a living. Is it really up to them to tell us what a good movie ought to be?

Crafty storytelling. I don't want to describe different details of the movie. This is a smart movie. Clever. Don't go into it expecting a lot of action or violence - that's not what this movie is about.

Its a very enjoyable movie. A good one to talk about long after the movie is over.

Disappointed

I'm always up for a good spy flick even if it isn't that good and how could you go wrong with Johnny and Angelina? Apparently you can go very wrong even in Venice. Angelina is as stiff as a board and there is absolutely no chemistry between her and Depp - NONE!!! The movie is shallow and I didn't invest in the characters for a moment. You probably will but seriously don't waste your money even renting it like I did. To cleanse my pallet I'm going to watch Mr. and Mrs. Smith or maybe Pirates of the Caribbean so I can enjoy the actors at their best!

Fantastic!

I guess the critics don't agree, but then again they never do. The Tourist was a fantastic movie, i saw it two times. Johnny Depp and Angelina Jolie worked together flawlessly, and we ere simply breathtaking. It ended with a twist that still got me the second time. You HAVE to see this movie, it's great!!
