Top Critics' Reviews
Rotten: The more frenzied the action gets, the duller the film becomes.
Fresh: Director Jonathan Lynn keeps a loose rein on the nuttiness but never lets it get out of bounds and maintains the film's comic buoyancy throughout.
Rotten: Wacky and heartless.
Fresh: The Whole Nine Yards a bright crowd-pleaser with a clever script.
Customer Reviews
One of my favorites
I think this movie is the perfect combination of comedy, action, and plot twist. Matt Perry and Bruce Willis are an excellent pair and sell their parts very well. I definately recommend this movie for a family movie night. Expect some nudity, swearing, and violence but is fairly appropriate for mature audience.
The Whole Nine Yards
If you like a plate full of plot that keeps you salavating for the next bite, this movie may tempt you to watch it again and again. Don't expect "A Man for All Seasons" or "Citizen Kane", but for comedy, it hits the mark. (No pun intended) Bruce Willis has long been established as an actor worth watching, in any genre, but this is especially enhanced by all members of the cast. I enjoyed it, but was not quite sure what the ending would bring....
This movie is the BOMB!!!
A movie to keep you laughing!! That is what this movie will do!! Between Matthew Perry's crazy, broken ego, uptight, and dramatic character and Bruce Willis' Hard nosed, under the radar, mentally stable, gangster character.... These two create the perfect combination!!!! Definitely a must watch! :)
