Plot Summary

The unhinged joy and high angst of hitting modern adolescence with full force is explored with honesty, clarity, and passion in Thirteen. The story follows the transformation of Tracy (Evan Rachel Wood), who begins as a promising, pig-tailed student still playing with teddy bears and Barbie dolls. When Tracy enters the hyper-sexualized, peer-pressure cooker of junior high, she witnesses the power and hipness of Evie Zamora (Nikki Reed, co-writer of the script), who has become widely known as “the hottest chick in school.” Ultra-popular, model-gorgeous, and bewitchingly snobby, Evie represents everything Tracy suddenly wants, and needs, to be.

Reality Check for Adults... Your kids DO NOT have it "easy"!!!

This movie is so realistic because the environment this movie was shot in is your average neighborhood, your average school, your average household, your average kids... Sure alot of parents think "I didn't have my own computer, or cell phone, or know alot about sex when I was your age..." But you see, THIS is where this movie gives adults a realty check to have some sympathy to kids these days... We DO have computers. We DO have phones and we DO know alot about sex... WE are learning more then YOU DID when YOU were our age and it's A LOT OF PREASURE for a kid!!! If YOU don't impress or spend time with your kids... SOME ONE ELSE WILL! PLEASE watch this movie atleast once. You'll only have to watch it once because you will NEVER forget the lesson it teaches.

:]

i love this movie so much! true it has many things that are very scary to see happening to a thirteen year old and it has a lot of material that many people would say is inapropriate, but it is very true to life and the actors are amazing at how they can become the characters they play and put so much emotion into it to make it believable. i remember the first time i watched it i was completely silent and i couldnt do or say anything. after my friend just looked at me and was like '... yeah. pretty freaking intense huh?' i couldnt answer her because the movie had just completely amazed me and shocked me because of how real it seemed.

Amazing

When i first sa this movie, I liked it alot. I automatically saw how it connected with teenagers and what they are put through. This is a definite keeper in my book. Awsome movie
