Plot Summary
In this entertaining 1954 nominee for the Best Picture Oscar®, three American women in romantic Italy (Dorothy McGuire, Jean Peters and Maggie McNamara) decide it’s time to end their single status. So they whimsically toss coins into Rome’s spectacular Trevi Fountain for luck in love. But none has the kind of luck she hopes for in this fun romp that also stars Rossano Brazzi and Louis Jourdan.

Top Critics' Reviews
Fresh: Three Coins in the Fountain is quite clearly a film in which the locale comes first. However, the nonsense of its fable tumbles nicely within the picture frame.
Fresh: The film has warmth, humor, a rich dose of romance and almost incredible pictorial appeal.
Rotten: Formulaic fifties romantic tish.
Fresh: Given that this is the stuff of movies, you can pretty much guess the outcome, but the journey to true love is undeniably sweet.
