Plot Summary
Thurgood Marshall was a young man who grew up wondering if he would spend his life being humiliated by segregation. Instead, he dedicated himself to banishing all forms of it--by becoming the first African American to serve on the U.S. Supreme Court. Based on the acclaimed one-man play and told in the first person by Laurence Fishburne (in the role of Marshall), the film brings to life the turning points in the life and career of this civil rights pioneer.
Customer Reviews
At his very best!
Such a great performance from this great longstanding actor. Not only good entertainment but a great theatrical documentary of the most active and unsung hero of the Civil Rights movement!
