The french version of the Untouchables
The fiction is a great adaptation of the famous TV show "Les Brigades du Tigre", very popular in France in the 70s. Transposing a TV series to the big screen is often a tricky exercise and the movie successfully manages a new take on this loved classic, introducing a french touch of "The Untouchables", well interpreted by this quattro of young and talented french actors. Based on a thrilling conspiracy involving top European politicians with the WW1 looming, the plot is very efficient and should keep you captivated throughout. The film is well paced with no time wasted, full of action, sentiments and also some comic moments, resulting in a very pleasant and entertaining cinematic experience. Finally, the film's crew did some serious homework because the context of "La Belle Epoque" is very convincing on the screen, clearly attention was paid to details and it's nice that the historical context was respected. A solid 4 stars rating without a doubt, enjoy!
