Customer Reviews

Terrific visual storytelling of the end (or is it?) of Polaroid film.

Getting the story behind the rise and eventual fall of Polaroid as well as an intimate view into the way the cameras and film connected with so many people in so many different ways - from the mundane to the sublime - makes this documentary a must-see. Highly recommended.

a beautiful look at a beautiful subculture

We'd all heard of Polaroid and for many, it just existed in the background of our lives -- until the line of cameras and film was to be discontinued. Time Zero takes the viewer on a journey through the last year of Polaroid film and a small group of aficionados who wanted to save it -- and did. By combining touching stories of the individuals who love Polaroid -- both those who need it in their lives for their art and careers and those who don't want to see it fade to just a piece of nostalgia -- with the story of the Impossible Project and the people who took huge steps to save the beloved film, Time Zero weaves a gorgeous story with threads of history, interview, art, and the journey to save Polaroid film and all it means to its devotees.
