Plot Summary

Rotten: The individually ravishing but loosely bound shots reduce whatever weight the story might have to the trivial narcissism of Caribbean-travel commercials.
Fresh: "To the Wonder" finds Malick pursuing a form of visual storytelling that is closer to chamber music, or symphonic rapture, than conventional film narrative.
Rotten: "To the Wonder" is a trailer for itself, although it could be mistaken for a high-end perfume commercial ...
Fresh: What is most affecting is Malick's intent. He plainly devised the story to give him a series of panels for the expression of feeling.

Malick is the soul of modern American art house
Another spiritual masterpiece from Terrence Malick, personally my favorite American director of all time, and certainly the best director of american art films today. His movies have a certain transcendent quality to them; when I finish watching a new Malick film, my soul feels fuller, happier than before. Here is a man who wants-- or needs-- to make himself understood. All his doubts; his deep, fickle love for life and God; his guilty desires and his insecurities, bared in front of the camera in a desperate attempt to make SOMEONE understand him. But who? God? Us, the viewers? Himself? The question may never be answered, but I think it's safe to say that Malick succeeds in his goal with this intensely human film.
A waste of time
This fim maker would like to think that women dance around like little girls MOST of the time and then think in poet prose every other moment. Where does this guy get his notion of romance?
and why.. why does every shot have to be a steadicam moving toward the actors?
This is not a movie, it's an annoyance.
Nonsense
I just could not finish this movie, for the first time in iTunes I had to stop in the middle of a movie. Nonsense, no dialogs, nothing makes any sense….I'm still mad that I spent my money on this!
