Plot Summary
Wesley Snipes, Patrick Swayze and John Leguizamo star as three "girls" who just wanna have fun in a hilarious comedy about repairing broken hearts, broken dreams and broken nails. En route from New York City to Hollywood for a drag queen beauty pageant, Noxeema (Snipes), Vida (Swayze) and Chi Chi (Leguizamo) are forced to take an unwelcome detour when their 1967 Cadillac convertible breaks down. Stranded in the tiny midwestern town of Snydersville, the three try to make the best of their unfortunate circumstance. And when their glitz and glamour wake up the sleepy local citizens, the stage is set for an outrageously funny weekend. Also starring Stockard Channing and Blythe Danner, this marvelous mix of flamboyant fun and unrefined simpleness erupts into plenty of laughs in "The Best Comedy of the Year!" (Interview)

Rotten: Kidron's direction stays flat even when the actors are funny. It doesn't help that the screenplay, by Douglas Carter Beane, is so thin that one of its biggest events is the three main characters' having car trouble.
Rotten: Slick and amiable and innocuous as hell, it's a foam-padded farce, as laboriously packaged as its three glam-sister ''heroines.''
Fresh: Imagine, "Wong Foo" suggests, a world where people stopped judging one another and simply surrendered to the silliness that's dormant inside us.
Fresh: Improbable as this all sounds, "Wong Foo" is a great deal of fun and a small step forward in Hollywood's depiction of homosexuals.

Beautifully Funny
Wesley, Patrick, and John are halarious in this adorable film about being yourself and expressing how you feel inside and out as they run out of luck or land in some trouble on a cross country road trip with love and friendship they create on the way.
a classic
Truly a feel good movie. The "girls"are the best. Snipes is a rave, Leguizamo is classic,and Swayze was beautiful. A simple movie you can watch again and again. Although 10 bucks is kinda high it's well worth it.
this is the most AMAZING movie ever.
I loved this movie!!! All of the actors were brilliant and it made me laugh out loud. It is a feel-good movie that I highly recommend to everyone!
