bad. just bad standup.
Apparently this version has over ten minutes previously cut - they should have, at a minimum, left that out. Barry's schtick is premised on being the hippest cat in the room, but his act is all attitude and sarcasm, and little else to prop him up as some sort of character. He absolutely beats the death out of anything that gets a laugh out of his inebriated audience, and that makes it especialy painful to watch. Stand up is hard, people tell me I'm funny all the time, but I absolutely know I lack the skills to be even a hack comic. Barry is probably good for a laugh, in small doses, when you're out and having a few. He simply doesn't translate to a longer special - this is just really bad. Save your money.
