Plot Summary

Action star extraordinaire Arnold Schwarzenegger is perfectly cast as Quaid, a 2084 construction worker haunted by dreams of Mars in this crowd-pleasing science fiction spectacle. Against the wishes of his sexy blonde wife (Sharon Stone), Quaid goes to Rekall, a company that implants artificial memories, so he can "remember" visiting the red planet that is now being settled by human inhabitants. Fresh: Melding the ever-more-workable Schwarzenegger mystique with a better-than-average science-fiction premise, the director Paul Verhoeven has come up with a vigorous, superviolent interplanetary thriller that packs in wallops with metronomic regularity.

Best Arnold Movie Made
This movie is awesome, and makes you think at the same time. I was 12 when it came out, and still smile when I think about the 3-boob scene. Cannot wait to see the remake, and hoping they do this movie justice.
Guys…this movie is over 22 years old…just in case you forgot
I remember watching this movie for the very first time and I loved it. The special effects were top notch at the time and the movie had a lot of success among my friends. I know that it looks outdated now but after watching the 2012 Total Recall, I am even more amazed about how good the original movie was and still is. All the negative comments probably come from younger people who don't know how the special effects worked 22 years ago. I also don't understand the complaining about profanity, this movie is rated R (which I kind of don't understand, maybe because of the three fake boobs *LOL*).
Great SciFi movie, a real classic.
