Plot Summary
This spectacular live concert sees Toto celebrating their 35th Anniversary at the Atlas Arena in Lodz, Poland during their 2013 World Tour. The show epitomises the combination of craft, heart and drive that has been Toto’s trademark throughout their career in a set packed with hits and classic album tracks. The individual band members have played on many of the best known and most successful records in history but when they come together as Toto they create music that is uniquely special. This is Toto at their very best.
Customer Reviews
Outstanding band, outstanding production
Concert films have become high art. This film is no different, except that this band, that has been around for 35 years, is still providing this level of energy and musicianship is become extremely rare. It’s tough to watch old rockers still get excited about performing and delivering stellar performances night after night. These guys still jump in like they were still 22. Joseph Williams’ voice in this concert is nothing short of amazing. And in addition to the superior talent that Toto has always exhibited both in the recording studio (where they have just gotten better and better with a sophistication and maturity in Falling In Between and a new album expected later this year) and on stage, they are joined on this one by one of the world’s most outstanding bass players, Nathan East. The three main videos of this band feature great bass players Mike Procaro, Lee Sklar and now Nathan East.
That Toto continues with the strength and talent that brothers Procaro, Paich and Lukather continue to provide, is a gift to us all. Buy this, play it over and over again.
Toto lively
Most of the surviving members are here. Band is tight and enjoying themselves. Bobby Kimball's voice is substituted by an adequate singer (highs are helped by the back-up singers). By no means am I disapproving of the effort. This is Toto Live; one of the best bands to do so.
If your a fan, or a casual listener of Toto, this will not disappoint. Audience is into the set list and is enjoying themselves (adding to the excitement).
