Plot Summary

Academy Award-winners Warren Beatty ("Bonnie and Clyde," "Reds"), Diane Keaton ("Plan B," "Annie Hall"), Goldie Hawn ("Private Benjamin," "The Banger Sisters"), and Golden Globe-nominees Andie MacDowell ("Groundhog Day," "Short Cuts") and Garry Shandling ("What Planet Are You From?" TV's "The Larry Sanders Show") star in this romantic comedy about life, love, friendship and the sometimes-blistering nature of marital bliss. Beatty portrays a well-known New York architect who is at a crossroads in his life. Deciding which direction to take leads to unexpected encounters with hilarious consequences.

Top Critics' Reviews

Rotten: An antediluvian portrayal of male midlife crisis, reducing any imaginable extramarital complication to a crass matter of gender warfare. – Dennis Lim, Village Voice, Jun 24, 2010

Rotten: The movie's not bad enough to be world-ending, merely clumsy enough to make the offending studio exec clean out his desk. – Wesley Morris, San Francisco Chronicle, Jun 18, 2002

Rotten: Stuff gets thrown into the mix literally from several directions, in the vain hope that the story will organically cohere. – Gene Seymour, Newsday, Jun 24, 2010

Rotten: Feels like a ragged assemblage of parts from at least two entirely different movies. – Jonathan Foreman, New York Post, Jun 24, 2010

Customer Reviews

Wow, what a really bad movie.

I don’t know how you could make a more uninteresting movie. What a total waste of talent.
