Top Critics' Reviews

Fresh: When teenaged Andy plops down on the grass to share his old toys with a shy little girl, the film spikes with sadness and layered pleasure -- a concise, deeply wise expression of the ephemeral that feels real and yet utterly transporting. – Eric Hynes, Village Voice, Aug 4, 2013

Fresh: I seriously doubt there will be a more hilarious and heartfelt blockbuster all summer. – Tom Charity, CNN.com, Aug 4, 2013

Fresh: There are many sweet laughs and joking allusions to horror and prison-break movies, but the Pixar gang gets at the most primary fear -- being cast off and no longer of use. – David Denby, New Yorker, Aug 4, 2013

Fresh: It's sadder and scarier than its predecessors, but it also may be the most important chapter in the tale. – Rafer Guzman, Newsday, Jul 12, 2010

Possibly without a doubt Greatest Trilogy of all time.

When I was 4 years old I was discovered by Toy Story, and I would watch it at least one time a week with my brother. When I was 5 I was Discovered by Toy Story 2 and I walked out of my local theatre with a smile on my face. In 2009, when I saw the trailer for Toy Story 3 I was in awh because it had been ten years. In 2010, I walked into the movie the day it came out....and walked out with tears of joy:) This movie touched my heart on so many levels that I can't explain. When I took my mom too it she cried too. It was because we remembered when my older brother moved out and went to college. This movie teaches people that LIFE is PRECIOUS and we should live it each and every day. Thank you Pixar, this should win a Oscar for Best Picture, click (yes) if you agree.

A Nostalgic Treasure

In 1995, Pixar released the world's first full-length CGI animated film, Toy Story. Audiences were amazed not only by the introduction of CGI animation, but also by Toy Story's heartwarming characters and innovative storytelling. CGI is ubiquitous nowadays, largely due to Toy Story's success. After nearly 11 years since the last installment, Pixar resurrects Woody and Buzz to create a masterful, heartwarming conclusion that is bound to resonate amongst audiences of all ages. Over the past 15 years, Andy has aged with us, and he is now preparing to leave for college. The toys encounter misfortune and are separated from Andy yet again. The film successfully maintains the franchise's outstanding humor and voice acting. Toy Story 3's visuals exhibit the best artistic design and technical excellence in the business. Randy Newman provides a memorable score along with a special Gipsy Kings song. Toy Story 3 investigates our attachment to toys, the challenges of becoming an adult, and our relationship with future generations. Toy Story 3 is the perfect farewell to Woody, Buzz, and the rest of the gang. It sends a beautiful, heartwarming message to audiences while helping many relive their childhoods. It has been wonderful to grow up with this beloved franchise. Toy Story has taken the art of storytelling to infinity and beyond!

Two Thumbs Way Up for this animated Masterpiece!!!

Waiting 11 years for another Toy Story was worth it hands down. To be honest when I heard that this movie was in production, I was both excited and worried. I was worried that it was going to be dissapointing like Shrek 3, Pirates 3, and Spider-Man 3. But thankfully I was 100% wrong. Toy Story 3 was an amazing film on story telling, suspence, voice acting, and most importantly emotion. By the time the film was over I was nearly ready to cry. Only Pixar can make you have strong feelings for toys, bugs, monsters, fish, superheros, cars, a rat, a robot, and an old man. Toy Story 3 in my opinion is the best picture of 2010 and nothing can beat it (not even Inception). Hopefully at the 83rd Academy Awards we can see the first animated film win Best Picture. If I was a member of the academy, my vote would be for Toy Story 3. Now how does it rank with 1 and 2? Well I still think 1 is still the best film but 3 for a lot of reasons is better than 2. Like Siskel and Ebert would say; "Two Thumbs Up".
