Top Critics' Reviews

Rotten: More than anything else, it looks like the sort of movie that might have been put together so that tourists visiting Universal Studios could see a movie being made. – Vincent Canby, New York Times, May 7, 2014

Fresh: A delightful throwback to such '50s and '60s films as "Them," "The Deadly Mantis" and "Attacks" of both "The Giant Leeches" and "The Crab Monsters." – Richard Harrington, Washington Post, May 7, 2014

Fresh: Horror/comedies often tread too far to one side or the other of that fine line; Tremors walks it like a tightrope. – James Berardinelli, ReelViews, May 7, 2014

Fresh: This is what a monster movie is supposed to be like, and it's terrific. – Geoff Andrew, Time Out, May 7, 2014

SCARY BUT FUNNY!

I don't know how many times I see it...it's one of those movies that if there is nothing good on TV, but this is on, you would rather watch it. Over and over again!

Totaly Amazing

If i was going to be stranded on an island with my IPOD and and two movies, they would have to be Starship Troopers, and this. Tremors has a replay value beyond any movie I"ve ever seen in my life. This movie is a five star, and when you buy it, you'll see why.

Kevin Bacon vs. Snakazoids

This classic, oddball horror is one of the best chills for a lazy summer evening. Set in a remote southwestern town, filled with colorful denizens, a mysterious, eerie string of deaths begins to occur. The main characters, played by Kevin Bacon and Fred Ward, are a pair of tumbleweed freelancers who stumble upon the true cause of the murders, and band the townspeople together to hatch an escape plan.

The young Kevn Bacon does an excellent job in this film. This movie is filled with quippy one-liners, a dose of corny terror, and great old-fashioned movie action. It's 100% FREE from torture-porn, vulgarity, and screeching, idiotic characters.

Not really high on the "boo factor," this movie works its magic by using the unsettling concept of being unsafe on terra firma. When the whole town makes a mad scramble to the highest possible perchs, I still get a rush of goosebumps. Watch it for goofs, fun, and action. And snakazoids.
