Plot Summary

Ben Stiller, Jack Black and Robert Downey Jr. lead an ensemble cast in "Tropic Thunder," an action comedy about a group of self-absorbed actors who set out to make the most expensive war film. After ballooning costs force the studio to cancel the movie, the frustrated director refuses to stop shooting, leading his cast into the jungles of Southeast Asia, where they encounter real bad guys.

Best comedy of 2008, hands down!

So we had a lot of great comedies this year - Role Models, Pineapple Express, Step Brothers, Sarah Marshall and more... but overall this is the funniest movie of the year. The acting and the performances are hysterical, and the movie is fantastically done with some unexpected cameos from famous celebrities. The jokes are hilarious, so are the characters, and the movie starts with laughs and ends with laughs. The trio (Stiller, Black and Downey Jr.) are just as good as their acting in other movies, and it's definitely worth the buy. But I have a question - when CAN you buy? Why is there the only rent sign? 5/5.

this movie was basically my favorite movie of 2008. It's one of the few movies that kept me laughing the whole time, but why can we only rent it? I think that iTunes should let everyone purchase the movie instead of a rental-only option.

Are You Kidding?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!

This movie is funnier than Dodgeball, better casted than Oceans Eleven (Tom Cruise, Ben Stiller, Nick Nolte, Robert Downey Jr, and Jack Black), and has better action than Wanted and yet it is only available to RENT? The only movies I was going to buy this year were The Dark Knight, Iron Man, Wanted, and this and yet for some reason I cant? I absolutely love iTunes and this is sadly their first mistake that I have seen. If somebody in charge is reading this, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE reconsider making this avialable to buy.
