Plot Summary
Clark Gregg leads an all-star cast in this sharp comedy as Howard Holloway, a down-on-his luck agent for child actors and truly one the last good guys left in Hollywood. After discovering a 13-year-old acting prodigy (newcomer Saxon Sharbino), he is poised to close the deal of a lifetime which would catapult his tween client and, at long last, himself, into the big time. With the support of his gorgeous new neighbor (Amanda Peet), he must wrangle the actress' volatile, overprotective father (Paul Sparks), dodge a scheming producer (Felicity Huffman), and outwit his uber-slick nemesis (Sam Rockwell). As he arrives on the brink of the Hollywood dream that's eluded him for a lifetime, he begins to sense that his innocent young starlet may not be quite what she seems. Also featuring Allison Janney, William H. Macy, and Molly Shannon.

Top Critics' Reviews
Rotten: As the movie picks up speed and undergoes sudden, confusing plot reversals, it loses its satirical edge.
Rotten: There's certainly humor running through writer-director-star Clark Gregg's "Trust Me," the tale of an inept agent for child actors; it's just that not all of it feels intentional.
Fresh: "Trust Me" contains so much terrific writing, acting and observation that it becomes a bit easier to forgive writer-director-star Clark Gregg when his ambitions best him during the movie's convoluted last third.
Fresh: The showbiz yarn is highly entertaining until it all but derails.

Great
Really good film, which I’d never even heard of.
Original, lots of depth, surprising turns. A hollywood film that's not just hollywood patting itself on the back. Incredible performances all around, and not a boring moment in the whole thing. The cast is astonishing, actually. Funny, moving, unexpected. What more can you ask for?
Interesting Flim
This movie was an interesting journey into a noir world of a Hollywood child star agent with some pretty clever dialog.
I liked the carefully written ironic content and delivery from the entire cast. The lines "...stone cold killer..." And the reaction of the Clark Gregg character, Howard still makes me laugh.
I found the characters to be deep and believable and some even disturbing.
All the actors seem to be rowing the same direction, which is good.
It has a deep core of a storyline with change outs which effectively plays with the viewers emotions. Hard film to second guess.
The films direction was considerate and the pacing was smooth throughout the movie. The film has a solid feel.
This is a film to watch when you want a grown up film. It has some language but appropriate.
I like indie movies and did a pre order on this film.
I have and do strongly recommend this movie.
A look at life
There is much thought put into this movie. It is something that you can't just blindly watch and expect to be satisfied. On the contrary without reflection and thought, this movie will leave you without closure. This movie is a rare gem and if given a chance, can take the audience to a few places of understanding before it's finale. The one thing I have trouble understanding is why this is labeled under comedy. Unless it is the Divine Comedy that is darkly hinted at. I'd say Drama if I had to categorize it. If you find yourself asking "what happens next?" at the end of the film, you may be missing the point. Walk yourself through the story again and put yourself in the protagonist shoes.
