Plot Summary
The definitive video documenting the town of Forks made famous by the Twilight books and movies. Since the Twilight movies weren’t filmed in the real Forks, this is your opportunity to see the town that Stephenie Meyer based her epic teen romance books on. Are there truly vampires and werewolves there? Hear from the real people living their lives in the town fans know and love, including the Chief of Police, the Forks Outfitters' employee who gets mistaken for Bella, and the vampire transplant who plays the real-life role of Alice. Visit Forks High School, hear self-described Jacob's grandfather tell the legend of how the Quileutes descended from wolves, and see many more of the people and places that make Forks and La Push the perfect setting for the Twilight Saga.

Rotten: A deeply sincere, outright goofy vampire romance for the hot-not-to-trot abstinence set.
Rotten: My hope is that the sequels are actual attempts at movies. The world doesn't need any more toothless cinema.
Fresh: I watched Twilight in a cinema full of young girls who, when they weren't texting friends and guzzling soft drinks, giggled, sighed and exhaled with a passion that was not only endearing, but a measure of its emotional truth.
Fresh: A sometimes girlie swirl of obsession that will delight fans, this faithful adaptation is after teenage blood, and will most likely hit a box office artery.

That
I think that this idea is very positive. Everyone who reads the Twiligh series imagines Forks in the way that Stephanie has written it. I've been interested in the way the people in the real town have looked at they way the town has changed since the Twilight Saga became successful and popular. The films may not be shot in the town, but it is the town that makes the books feel real. I'm not saying I would travel to Washington State to visit the town because of my love for the novels, but I think it's good that fans understand the effect the novels have had on the real town. Now, if only they could separate fiction from reality, it would be golden. :)

Our daughter wanted to go see the town since we were so close. We stopped in Port Angeles and Forks - didn't make it to La Push. Forks was a wonderful little town. You drive through indian reservation and timberland to get to Forks. Coming into town you cross a bridge and there is a line to take pictures in front of the "Forks" sign. There is a map you get for all the sights. There is a giggly frenzy about the place (haven't read the books or seen the movies) but - it is contagious. The people were helpful, courteous, and friendly. Most of the pilgrims were basing their searches of the town on the book - not the movie. This phenomenon has overran this little town and they are handling it wonderfully. The logging museum said (from memory) 140 inches of rain a year. Where I live, we are lucky to get 14 inches. Coming out of their logging museum (Dr Cullen's jacket was there and you could try it on) and looking into the woods, you can only see for maybe a couple of feet into the woods with the sunlight only penetrating the very top of the canopy, I thought - of yes, these people could definitely make it here. A side note, the water is beautiful, keep a look out for whales, killer whales, cruise ships, etc. I will get this for my daughter. We had a great time there.
