Rotten: ...a flabby, mini-minded behemoth...
Fresh: Plays much like a traditional vaudeville card, what with its tantalizing teaser opening followed by three sketches of increasing quality, all building up to a socko headline act.
Fresh: Miller [leaves] no doubt that he was the finest stylist to emerge in the early 80s, with a sense of narrative rhythm linked to visual development that is wholly original and ravishing.
Fresh: The others have a comic strip zeal which makes them intensely watchable, but ultimately it's left to Mad Max wizard Miller to steal the show.

Twilight Zone Movie FULL REVIEW
the preview was a letdown, it didnt show you what would go on in the movie. so i'll tell you. the movie consisted of 4 parts, not including the prologue. so i thought it would be like the shows on TV, 4 different scenarios of people being shocked, scared, or killed into the Twilight Zone. it is nothing like that. some of the scenarios are really happy and good-natured, and i wanted to be scared out of my mind. also, the man on the TV show that does the conclusion (after a character is let into the Twilight Zone) is not in this movie. So the movie flows seamlessly from one scenario to another, which is nice if you're writing a book, but it makes each scenario lack a conclusion. so all in all, if you want a Twilight-like experience, watch the TV show. This was definitely not worth my money. It was a nice idea, though, but horribly executed.
Wanna see something *really* scary?
Not in this movie, sorry. Still not bad as a homage to the 1960's series... the preview is worthless so here's the tales that are told: 1) A angry, racist man gets his comeuppance 2) A old man learns it is true that "you are only as old as you feel" 3) A woman meets a child with a "gift"- whatever he wishes for, comes true 4) A remake of one of the classic original episodes, a man sees a little monster sabotaging the plane he's riding in. You're still better off watching Mr. Serling in the originals, though... any chance of getting those, iTunes?
The Show is Alot Better
Basically, the movie is made of of four modernized episodes of Rod Serling's The Twilight Zone. The filmakers behind it are excellent, a huge fan of their work. But such a project was very hard to take the ingenius episodes and remake them. The first clip was a new clip not from the show which wasn't bad. The second was a remake of "Kick the Can" which was good and can be considered better because unlike the episode the movie deals with the characters regretting becoming young again, thus realizing that if one has lived a life why should one live one again. The third was a remake "It's a Good Life" which was the only true failure in this film. It just added "cartoonish" effects and did not expand on the theme or characters of the original episode. The fourth was a remake of "Nightmare at 20,000 Feet". It dealed with an normal individaul instead of one who was scared of planes and had a had a better looking man than the funny looking ape in the original. But overall the movie does not deal with the issues Serling portayed in his shows and would not scare those who watched it. Still it is a good movie. (iTunes should get The Twilight Zone seasons)
