Top Critics' Reviews

Rotten: In the deathbed drama Two Weeks, Sally Field creates an agonizing portrait of a middle-aged American everywoman in the final stages of ovarian cancer. – Stephen Holden, New York Times, Jul 16, 2008

Rotten: With Sally Field as the cancer-ridden mom and the combined talents of Ben Chaplin, Julianne Nicholson and Tom Cavanagh surrounding her, pic veers unsteadily between melodrama and light comedy, with no confidence in either. – Robert Koehler, Variety, Jul 7, 2010

Rotten: An ineffective would-be tear-jerker that proves the adage 'dying is easy, comedy is hard.' – Kevin Crust, Los Angeles Times, Sep 20, 2007

Rotten: While life is known to stumble across humor at the most inopportune of moments, Stockman's story strains for irreverence at every turn, and the results serve to undercut those potentially more stirring moments. – Michael Rechtshaffen, Hollywood Reporter, Jun 24, 2010

Too Real

Being a movie buff, it is rare when I can't finish a film. This one hit home and you should know going in this will tear you up.

Two weeks, a well deserved rental

Considering the film's dark subject this is actually quite an uplifting and comedic look at the passing of someone so close. I honestly had moments where I was almost in tears and others where I laughed out loud. Thats all I ask for when renting a movie from the store, to be emotionally moved. A unique film that I totally recommend you to watch but just go in with the mentality that this is an indie film for a quite late night on your laptop and you won't be disappointed. Definitely gonna add it to my collection !

Worth seeing

Even though the subject matter of the film is a tough one to watch, it was really well done. Sally Fields was exceptional and so was the supporting cast. If you've wondered how tough it is for a family to deal with the last days of a dying relative, this movie is about as close as it gets. Watch it if you can; it's definitely worth seeing.
