Plot Summary

Gathered together in the Bahamas for their annual one-week reunion, four close couples eagerly reconnect, sharing news about their lives and relationships. But their intimate week in paradise is disrupted by the unexpected arrival of Sheila’s ex-husband, Mike, who hopes to break up her new marriage with Troy and win her back. The others soon realize they too are not immune to the challenges of commitment and fidelity. Angela doesn’t believe her husband, Marcus, can be faithful now that he’s a celebrity television newscaster. Dianne and Terry’s relationship is feeling the strain of raising children. And Patricia, a successful self-help psychologist, must finally reveal the deep flaws in her seemingly perfect marriage to Gavin. With their relationships hanging in the balance when they return home, each couple must choose between blame and forgiveness, doubt and faith, with life-altering consequences…

Top Critics' Reviews

Rotten: Worth mentioning is the queasy dynamic in which the male characters' violent impulses are condemned in theory but, when acted on, seem to be implicitly excused, or at least overlooked. – Mike Hale, New York Times, Jun 24, 2010

Rotten: Terribly shot and crudely assembled. – Lisa Schwarzbaum, Entertainment Weekly, Jun 24, 2010

Rotten: [It] plays like an empty but diverting beach read. Your brain recognizes that the dialogue, for example, doesn't come from any place that remotely resembles relationship reality. – Jen Chaney, Washington Post, Jun 24, 2010

Rotten: Tyler Perry grounds this sequel to Why Did I Get Married? in his trademark blend of comedy, soap opera, and down-home southern sentiment, though he lets up a little on the moral proselytizing, which aids the digestion considerably. – Andrea Gronvall, Chicago Reader, Jun 24, 2010

OMG

This movie is:
Hilarious!!!!!!!
Moving
Powerfull
Beautifully writen

The only thing i disliked was then ending. Of course when they were filiming this Janet Jackson's brother just died so Tyler Perry decided to change the ending to help her through her grief. So yes other then the quickly filmed ending this movie is one of the best Tyler Perry movies I've ever seen. Do yourself a favor. Buy this movie.

Huh?

This movie had a horribly rushed ending that ruined the whole thing to me! I expected better.... :-(

Why did I get married too??

GREAT MOVIE...In my opinion I think that it was actually better then the first movie. Alot of drama and more comedy. Tyler Perry awesome producer
