Plot Summary

A U.S. Navy Captain and his crew are just beginning to enjoy 48 hours of leave when they receive word to immediately return to duty. On a top-secret assignment, they must disguise themselves as Nazis and infiltrate a severely damaged Nazi U-boat. Once on board, they are to steal the Nazi's top-secret decoding device and sink the sub before the Germans catch on to what's really happening. Their mission is more dangerous and frightening than anything they could have ever imagined, but one which has the power to turn the tide of battle.

Beyond Stupid

Let's make up history!! Yay! The Germans didn't have sub hunters, they didn't need them. Nor did they have ASDIIC sonar, it was a british device that was a heavily guarded secret. No one else in the Atlantic used subs but the Germans, and to a very very small extent the brits. American subs were in the pacific. It was the brits that recovered the enigma device., not the americans. The filmakers should have thrown in some Japanese and Russians just to make it even more believable. (no one would know the difference.)

awesome

great world war 2 submarine warfare movie, not historically accurate but still a great movie

Somebody heard my request!!!!

Great movie have wanted it fore a long time. The movie showes both the good and the bad side of the American crew and is partly based on the true story of the first uboat overtaken by the British fleet.
