Plot Summary

In the grim darkness of the 41st Millennium, the only force that stands between humanity and alien hordes are the genetically enhanced super-soldiers known as Ultramarines. When a select squad of scarred veterans and raw recruits respond to a distant planet’s distress beacon, they discover that a horrific evil has been unleashed. Amidst a living nightmare of chaos, carnage, and demonic fury, these steel battle-brothers must now survive the ultimate enemy: themselves. Featuring the voices of Terence Stamp (WANTED, HALO 3, TV’s SMALLVILLE), John Hurt (V FOR VENDETTA, HELLBOY FRANCHISE, TV’s MERLIN), Sean Pertwee (EQULIBRIUM, EVENT HORIZON), and Donald Sumpter (TV’s GAME OF THRONES, THE GIRL WITH A DRAGON TATOO).

Customer Reviews

Not bad...

CG and story are rather underwhelming, the universe for Warhammer 40k is so immense and there is so much that could have been done and so many directions to go in. Honestly Warhammer 40k doesn't get the credit it deserves. If your not familiar with the Space Marines this movie could leave you with a lot of questions. All in all it's a decent movie and a definite addition to my Warhammer library.

Great Voice Work wasted

The voice talent was top notch, the story solid but the animation is no better than the what you get during FPS cut-scenes. Compare this to the animation and Starship Troopers: Invasion and you will see what I mean. Still, if you are a WH40K fan its worth having.

meh

It offers a look into space marines. Poor quality but cool none the less. If someone actually had a good story and some money to produce a solid movie it might sell. People seem to like far out movies these days and an acutal well scripted Warhammer 40k movie might sell.
