Customer Reviews

Vampire Journals: flawed but love it all the same.

While there are flaws to this movie, it is so gothic at heart and the score is so hauntingly beautiful that it is easy, at least for me, to sit back, suspend disbelief and enjoy the ride! The woman who plays Sophia is not the greatest of actors but has good moments and the rest of the castakes up for her. Jonathan Morris is brilliant as Ash. As a spin off of the great Subspecies films, this is a must see for all Subspecies fans and a should see for all goths. If you don't take things too seriously, you won't be let down.

Vampire Journals

Great movie as long as you overlook the unbelievable. Great atmosphere and music!!! Obviously not your typical vampire film.

unbelievably bad

this is so embarrassingly bad that i wonder if i should even waste my time writing a review. atrocious dialogue (i am still cringing!), ridiculous voiceover, poor film quality, laugh-inducing melodrama, gratuitous nudity (the 14-year-olds giving this film 4-5 stars are no doubt rating the topless scenes). in no way does this capture the time period in which it is meant to be set. yet it's not bad enough to be so funny that it warrants the 99-cent rental fee. you have been warned!
