Plot Summary

Elizabeth Banks and James Marsden star in the outrageously funny comedy, Walk of Shame. After losing an audition for her dream job, an aspiring Los Angeles TV news anchor goes out for an uncharacteristic night of partying. She awakes in a stranger's bed to a phone message from her agent telling her the job is hers, if she can make it across town by 5 pm. Stranded in an unknown area without money, a phone, and a car, she embarks on a series of misadventures as she races to the most important job interview of her life.

Top Critics' Reviews

Rotten: A beautiful woman leaves a bar and goes home with James Marsden. And that is just about the only thing that makes sense in "Walk of Shame." – Anita Gates, New York Times, May 2, 2014

Rotten: Though replete with plot holes and lapses in logic as wide and ugly as the L.A. Freeway, Walk of Shame doesn't have the moxie to go anywhere ludicrous or dangerous with its premise. – Joe McGovern, Entertainment Weekly, May 2, 2014

Rotten: Not even the fleet comic footwork of Elizabeth Banks can save this vile, unfunny stab at screwball farce. – Scott Foundas, Variety, May 2, 2014

Rotten: An unintended nightmare scenario for women in Hollywood, and the persistent humiliation required just to get noticed. – Robert Abele, Los Angeles Times, May 5, 2014

Elizabeth rocks (and she DOES deserve better)

This movie is dumb, but it was relatively fun to watch and has some great character actor-type performances. Pookie is hilarious, for example. Elizabeth Banks is fun to watch and James Marsden is always good although there is barely a role for him here. I imagine they had a fun time making this movie. Rent this if you just want to shut your brain off and have a few laughs.

She is greatness!

Elizabeth Banks, greatness! Her comedic performances are suburb. She is an all time great. Indeed a pre-order worthy movie! I hate when small minded critics just don't get it, or feel the need to always be negative. I laughed until I cried, and peed a little, sorry I could not help it! Love life! Love this movie! Greatness!

Walk of Shame

It was a ho - hum movie about stupidity that I have seen all too often. Actors played their part well but I guess I am tired of seeing unreal circumstances mimicking Marx Bros antics.
