Top Critics' Reviews

Fresh: Directed at a pitch of gritty giddiness by the Kazakhstan-born Timur Bekmambetov, this hard-R splatter-fest about a team of sanctified assassins is also the summer's zazziest action movie. – Richard Corliss, TIME Magazine, Jun 24, 2010

Fresh: Wanted's hyperkinetic antics are sometimes weighed down by a surfeit of adolescent misanthropy. But the adrenaline-overdose strategy works for viewers as well as hit men. – Sam Adams, Los Angeles Times, Mar 13, 2009

Fresh: Wanted is fast-moving and bloody, enjoyable even within its unapologetically generic limits. But McAvoy is its real secret weapon. – Stephanie Zacharek, Salon.com, Jul 7, 2010

Rotten: Bekmambetov's movie evaporates pretty quickly after it's consumed. – Jim Ridley, Village Voice, Jul 15, 2010

Who Knew?!

I was completely dragged into seeing what I thought would be a terrible-gore-sex movie and was extremely surprised. The action is executed brilliantly, and uses some of the most innovative techniques that I have ever seen in a film. I was shocked to find "Wanted" to be the "Mission Impossible" of 2008, with an interesting plot twist at the end. Kudos to Jolie and McAvoy for great performances in a great movie!

This movie is my ultimate favorite

There were a lot of amazing movies this year (well, actually, most of them were from this summer), but Wanted is by far my favorite. In fact, I really believe it's earned the "top favorite" award from me...not just for this year, but my all-time favorite movie. I watched it twice in theaters this summer and loved every second of it. The movie is nonstop awesome from start to finish, and it's funny, very sexy, and very, very action-packed. My advice: buy it. You won't regret it.

A pretty good movie.

The pace is perfect, the action scenes are kinetic, fast, and you're never bored while watching Wanted. This will become a cult classic, I'm sure, and for a good reason. Buy it!
