Plot Summary

Author Norman Solomon teams with activist/actor Sean Penn to encourage critical thinking about media spin during wartime by introducing viewers to the techniques of war propaganda and seeing just how those techniques have been implemented from Vietnam to Iraq. Based on the best-selling book of the same title, "War Made Easy: How Presidents & Pundits Keep Spinning Us to Death" exposes the practice of promoting a prolonged policy of intrusive militarism under the patriotic banner of the "War on Terror."

states obvious truths that bear telling again and agin

Worth watching and recommending. I firmly believe the views expressed in this film are shared by a majority of Americans as well as an even larger majority of the world's population. I love America and am awed by her potential. The American people and the governments we elect have the capability to aspire to and achieve true Greatness, not just the false greatness of asset accumulation, by consciously redefining Greatness as how much our actions benefit all humanity and publicly committing ourselves IN ACTION as well as word to our greatest ideals--that all human beings are endowed with inalienable rights and that among these are life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. Until the time when the US renounces once and forever unilateral military action in other countries, at least let us hold ourselves accountable for our actions and demand our press air the views of the people our actions impact, both Americans as well as non-Americans.

USA, the war machine...

This is where my taxes go... Everyday... We are part of those murders. I wont forget the face of those children... This country is not better than the nazism, the only difference is they wanted a superior race, worldwide... Us??, it's just for "the defense" money and oil...
But we are the cool Americains right ??!! Imperialism garbage country...

One of the most important films you will ever see

This is one of the most important films you will ever see. And especially if you were born in 1983 or later. These wars were fought during our teenage and early adulthood years, and will be seared into our memory for years to come.
This film illustrates how easily we were manipulated by our own government and how the major news networks were equal partners in this deception.
This movie will help you understand how war is manufactured. If you are a Gen X or Y, like me, we need to understand the tactics these people employ, and be able to make our own decisions. Unfortunately, there WILL be a next time as long as the status quo stays constant.
