Plot Summary
Defense attorney Kate (A.J. Cook) is called to defend the creepy, yet gentle, Talan (Brian Scott O'Connor) after he is charged with the murders of a vacationing family. She soon learns that he is a werewolf and that he may have been all too capable of the slayings. Things take a turn for the worse when Talan escapes from his imprisonment and runs loose through the city of Paris.

Does for werewolves what ‘Afflicted” did for Vampires
With a mix of found-footage and traditional shots, this werewolf movie is a great original take on the mythology. Great performances by the cast, a nicely atmospheric score, and plenty of jump scares make this movie a treat to watch. the best part is, they pulled no punches when showing the gore and violence, as it is one of the most brutal movies I have seen. People are near eviscerated with such force, it was a joy to finally see the creators show us a movie made by adults, for adults. Very nicely done.
Werwolves are cool again
I admit I am a werewolf movie buff so when I heard about "Wer" I was already uber excited and my excitement was more than justified! Afetr having already seen every possible take on the ancient myth "Wer" suddenly comes along and infuses new blood (pun intended) into a stale and dusty genre. Some might hate it but I sure LOVE it, my only critique is that it is way to darn short. I wish the movie had gone on for another hour. Maybe there'll be a sequel, but if there is then it'd better be like this one, a ruthless killer! The idea of taking the cheese out of Hollywood and explaining away with where the original myth might have come from AND still making it even hotter than any other werewolf film I have seen in many years is quite the accomplishment! AWESOME!
