Plot Summary
Make way for a big group of wish-granting friends in this full-length animated treasure for every kid who’s ever wanted to meet a real dinosaur! Rex, Woog, Elsa and Dweeb are just like all the other dinosaurs until a magic food makes it possible for them to time travel to modern-day New York. Although they’re far from home, these prehistoric pals become determined to bring happiness to some very lucky little kids in a dino-mite way that’s beyond anyone’s dreams! Rotten: Parents seeking innocent kiddie entertainment should know that the dinosaurs are drugged, the children are briefly transformed into monkeys and the Professor is eventually devoured by crows.
Rotten: It's shallow and kind of dumb, and the animation is routine, and the story isn't much, and the stakes are a lot higher these days in the featurelength animation game.
Rotten: We're Back is an exercise in endurance -- not only is it dull, but it has such an overwhelming sense of sweetness that it threatens to become nauseating.
