Jimi Hendrix: Voodoo Child also includes – for the first time ever – examples from the Hendrix family archive of the late guitarist’s personal drawings, postcards home to his father, song drafts, sketches, and lyrics. Jimi Hendrix: In his own words

Caught this on the bio channel a while ago. It was called by another name when it aired. Regardless of the name this is a very well done piece. I'll be honest I was very skeptical when I saw the voice over was being done by Bootsy Collins. Not an issue at all. I highly recommend this to those interested in seeing Jimi's career from his perspective. Enlightening piece and once again highly recommended.

dissapoiting

I was not that impressed , I regret buying this ..they left out alot of details of his life and as much as i like bootsie collins hearing him talk as jimi as he tells the story is annoying. There are much better hendrix documentaries out there. if i was a 14 year old girl i guess i would be impressed. Rent it dont buy it. Reading his actual biography is alot more interesting, and if you so desire you can put on or off bootsie collins voice in your head.Heck you might as well use tony bennets voice lol..
