Great film about the middle east
I saw this movie in New York and really loved it! Anyone interested in the Arab Spring and what's going on with young people in the Middle East would want to watch this film.
Superb!
I was at a preview screening and, as a comic book guy, art teacher and person drawn to documentaries, I found it both entertaining and informative. Filmmaker Solotaroff has made a quality film on a subject that I personally found fascinating. Very cool!
fascinating
this film is a very thoughtfully told story about a fascinating subject: a man's mission to create superheroes for children in the muslim world. it is touching, at times funny, and provides keen insight into aspects of business, religion, politics and their intersection.
it is really well made! i would like to continue to hear about this story and the odyssey of the 99.
i saw it at a screening in sf and was lucky enough to hear from the director, isaac solotaroff, and the main subject/creator of the series, dr. naif al-mutawa about both the process of making the film and about the ongoing story surrounding it. worth buying this film!!
