Top Critics' Reviews
Rotten: Woody Allen's comedy doesn't work- on any level.
Fresh: The heart of the film belongs to Wood, Clarkson and Begley Jr., and they provide the biggest laughs. Watching their Southern-charm slowly transformed (corrupted?) by the emotional/artistic/erotic flavours of New York City is a typical Allen-esque treat.
Fresh: It won't win Allen new converts, but for those of faith, it offers consolation.
Rotten: David might be plugging a gap between Curb series, but Allen can do better.

Curb fans will enjoy!
I am a Woody Allen fan, as well as a Larry David fan. You'll certainly enjoy this film if you are, too. The film is predictable but doesn't pretend not to be. All-around entertaining, you get the hyper-critical Larry David with the role of a has-been genius, fed up with life, yet afraid of inevitable death. Death, one thing he can't control, but certainly tries to. The latter half of the film is not quite as intriguing, but still wraps up the story in a laid-back comedic way that is sure to be yet another enjoyable familiarity with Curb... familiarity with, but independency from.
Wonderful Woody
The reviews were not good on this one, but I rented it anyway. As a Woody fan, I was bound to.
Man, am I glad I did. It was very funny and had a sweet story. Was it Annie Hall? No. But it was better than most comedies out there today, and on par with some of Woody's other fine comedies.
Larry David is an excellent Woody stand-in, and all the other players are excellent.
Great stuff!
Grandiose ! Wonderful must be seen absolutly great Art
Woody Allen still at the top of his art nothing else to add.
A vivid picture of our world with no anger, no short cuts, no vulgarity all clean funny and intellectually stimulating
forget special effects, tv reality, cartoons this is the 5th Art !
