Plot Summary

At Passover Seder, one of the boys slips dad a dose of LSD in order "to give him a new perspective," while mom brings a handsome stranger to dinner, and the kids take sides. By the end of the night, dad's visions turn him into a modern day Moses intent on leading this hungry group to the promised land of family bliss. Of course, they're all so stubborn, it'd be easier to part the Red Sea.

Top Critics' Reviews

Fresh: A haunting and disturbing film. – Claudia Puig, USA Today, Jun 24, 2010

Rotten: Another entry in indiedom's contest to create the most dysfunctional family. – Peter Debruge, Variety, Jul 7, 2010

Fresh: The movie's most distinctive feature is its cast, which has the fake lived-in comfort of a TV clan. – Wesley Morris, Boston Globe, Nov 24, 2011
