Plot Summary
After leaving the Army after W.W.II, Bob Wallace and Phil Davis team up to become a top song-and-dance act. Davis plays matchmaker and introduces Wallace to a pair of beautiful sisters (Betty and Judy) who also have a song-and-dance act. When Betty and Judy travel to a Vermont lodge to perform a Christmas show, Wallace and Davis follow, only to find their former commander, General Waverly, is the lodge owner. A series of romantic mix-ups ensue as the performers try to help the General.

Rotten: Director Michael Curtiz has made his picture look good. It is too bad that it doesn't hit the eardrums and the funnybone with equal force.
Fresh: Bing Crosby and Danny Kaye, along with VistaVision, keep the enteratinment going in this fancifully staged production, clicking well.
Fresh: Great songs, gentle humour and a dose of syrup which is not to everyone's tastes, but worth buying to keep that Christmas spirit going until next year.
Fresh: Paramount's first film in (lavender-hued) VistaVision was this pornographically soppy but, nonetheless, hearty and humorous 1954 festive romp.

i watch this every year in december. it's sooooo good. i even watch it when it's not even close to the holidays. seriously, it's the best, and there's so much talent! it's totally worth it.

this is the BEST holiday movie of all time...except that i watch it all year round. why isnt this soundtrack on itunes? i would buy it in a heartbeat!
It's Always a White Christmas
This is one of my favorite Christmas time movies, along with Holiday Inn, Christmas in Connecticut and Christmas Carol. Puts me in the holiday mood and I even look forward to wrapping presents, just sit and watch and listen to the movie as I wrap!!
