Plot Summary

On a quiet summer evening, a torn and frayed Will Morrison (LUKAS HAAS) shows up at Mary (WENDY CREWSON) and Arthur (R.H. THOMSON) Bloom's remote island cottage after a long, unexplained absence. The Blooms, parents of Will's best friend Daniel (ADAM SCOTT), welcome him into their home. Will explains he has returned because his first novel is about to be published. After being summoned by mother's phone call, Daniel arrives from New York City where he has become a very successful writer. It quickly becomes clear that Will and Daniel are no longer close friends and essentially despise one another. With a major showdown looming between the two, Maggie Morrison (MOLLY PARKER), Will's wife and Daniel's former teenage love arrives at the dock. Maggie is furious with Will for abandoning her; Daniel longs for the girl that got way, and worries that his bright light will once again be eclipsed by his friend's dark star.

I Love The Sun...And This Movie

I just don't understand how such an amazing, poignant movie can be as unheard of as this one. I don't know anyone who has heard of this movie, the fanpage on Facebook has only 141 fans, and this movie has not received any reviews on iTunes. This movie has everything: it accurately portrays relationships between people, it's heartwrenching, yet can still make you feel okay at the end. Honestly, I can't stop raving about it. Watch it!
